Chargers Drop Road Contest at John Wood

Points were hard to come by for the Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team Friday night in a 62-32 loss at John Wood.

Sophomore forward Willow Porter (Wyoming, Ill./Stark County) scored eight points on 4-for-5 shooting to lead the Chargers (3-8), who were unable to pick up their third straight victory.

Morgan Kirby (Fairmount, Ill./Salt Fork) had five rebounds and three assists for Sandburg in the loss.

John Wood’s Autumn Voigt had 13 points to lead all players.

The Chargers will play at 1 p.m. Thursday at South Suburban in the first game of a men’s/women’s doubleheader before taking time off for Winter Break.
