Carl Sandburg College and River Bend Foodbank of Davenport IA have partnered to create an official food pantry on campus for Sandburg students and employees! The Resource Room is located in Room B129 and there is no cost to use the pantry. Students and employees can stop by anytime they are faced with food insecurity, whether it be just a grab and go item for the day or several items to take home for meals.

Every third Wednesday of the month, Sandburg receives our food delivery from River Bend which consists of fresh produce, freezer and refrigerator items, and a wide variety of shelf items. To allow better access to the fresh food items, the Resource Room offers special hours of 11 AM -3 PM on those third Wednesday delivery days.

Ways to Give Back!
Donations to the Resource Room are always welcome to help sustain our shelves between monthly food deliveries! Accepted items include but not limited to grab and go foods, snacks, canned goods, cereal, pasta, bottled/canned beverages, other non-perishable foods, toiletries, baby necessities, school supplies. All donated items should be unopened and still within the posted expiration date. Donations can be dropped off with Genny Stevens, coordinator of student life, in Office B56.
