Sophomore Brayden Reece (Monmouth, Ill./Monmouth-Roseville) put together a strong finish to tie for second individually, and the Carl Sandburg College men’s golf team tied for third as a team Thursday afternoon as it hosted the Charger Classic at Lake Bracken Country Club.

Reece shot a 1-under-par 34 on the back nine to come in with a 2-over 73 on the day, putting him a shot back of medalist honors. Reece was the only player on the day to shoot under par on either side.
