Tyler Womack (Moline, Ill./Moline) singled home a pair of runs to open the scoring, and he added an RBI double to right in the third. Devon Ballard (Fulton, Ill./Fulton) brought Womack home with a base hit to right in the next at-bat to put Sandburg up 4-0.

  • The Chargers got new life in the ninth when Jordan Chandler (Erie, Ill./Erie) reached on a dropped third strike that would’ve been the final out, but Cacey O’Brien (Moline, Ill./Moline) struck out one batter later to end the contest.
