Donating your vehicle to the Carl Sandburg College Foundation is a great way to support student success.
The Carl Sandburg College Foundation and Automotive Technology Program may accept vehicle donations under the following conditions:
- Vehicles will be accepted only after prior approval of the Foundation Board of Directors on a case-by-case basis. Any vehicles staged on campus prior to approval and transfer of title will be towed at the owner’s expense.
- The vehicle is relevant to the Automotive Technology Program and new enough to provide students with meaningful, live workplace scenarios aligned with Sandburg’s problem-based automotive curriculum.
- The vehicle is in operating condition and can be driven to campus.
- The vehicle’s exterior condition reflects the Core Values of Carl Sandburg College.
- The vehicle has a clear title which is in the name of the donor.
- The donor is responsible for having the vehicle delivered to the college with the original title, free of all liens.
- No monetary value can be assigned to a donation by any college personnel.
If you would like the Automotive Technology Program to consider your vehicle for donation, please complete the vehicle donation form. You may also contact Michael Hagedorn, Instructor of Auto Technology at mhagedorn@sandburg.edu or at 309.341.5267 to discuss your vehicle further and ensure it meets the current needs of the Automotive Program.
Completion of the form is no guarantee of acceptance.
