STEM camp
June 1-5, 2026 | Open to ages 14-24 | Free
This 5-day camp highlights Sandburg’s Information Technology program and explores IT and STEM through interactive projects in coding, robotics, and digital literacy. Participants will earn a credential in the form of a Digital Literacy Badge and will have direct engagement with local industry employers via field trips. Registration is free, made possible by the ICCB Taking Back the Trades Grant. Registration details to come!
Forensics camp
June 8-12, 2026 | Open to ages 14-24 | Free
This 5-day camp highlights Sandburg’s Criminal Justice Program and enables participants the opportunity to explore careers in criminal justice and forensic science through investigative simulations and real-world applications. Participants will earn a Bloodborne Pathogens Certification and will have direct engagement with local industry employers such as police departments, forensic labs, or courthouses via field trips. Culinary camp
June 15-17, 2026 | Open to ages 14-24 | Free
This 3-day camp highlights Sandburg’s Culinary Training Program while introducing participants to the culinary arts and food service industry. Activities include hands-on cooking labs and kitchen safety training that will allow participants to walk away with a Food Protection Manager Certification via ServSafe. In order to provide exposure to hospitality careers, participants will also take field trips to local employers such as restaurants, catering businesses, or food distributors. June 22-26, 2026 | Open to ages 14-24 | Free
This 5-day camp introduces participants to the following high-demand skilled trades offered at Sandburg: Automotive Technology, CNC Programming, Industrial Maintenance and Welding. The camp will combine hands-on workshops, guest speakers, and field trips to local employers such as manufacturing plants, auto shops, and trade employers. Participants will also receive an industry certification. Registration is free, made possible by the ICCB Taking Back the Trades Grant. Registration details to come!

This immersive 5-day camp introduces participants to the following distinct healthcare career pathways offered at Sandburg: Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Mortuary Science, Phlebotomy and Radiologic Technology. Each day will focus on a different discipline, combining hands-on lab experiences, guest speakers, and field trips to local employers such as hospitals, clinics, dental offices and funeral homes. Food Service Sanitation

Description: This class is to become a certified food protection manager, who trains, tests and certifies food service personnel in essential food safety practices to comply with health regulations. The class covers foodborne illness prevention, hygiene, time/temperature controls and sanitation culminating in a proctored exam (75 percent + passing score).
