Awards
The Marketing & Public Relations Office has earned international, national and local recognition for the college with successful entries in the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) and the Annual Educational Advertising Awards presented by the Higher Education Marketing Report.
The Marketing & Public Relations Office won the coveted Gold Paragon Award from NCMPR five times. This award is NCMPR’s recognition of outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges. It is the only national competition of its kind that exclusively honors excellence among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges. Winners hail from large, multi-campus districts as well as small institutions, from large staffs with healthy budgets, and from one-person shops with limited resources.
The Educational Advertising Awards is an international contest between two- and four-year colleges and universities, private and public. Sandburg was one out of 11 Illinois community colleges to be recognized in this international awards contest. The 3,000 entries were from more than 1,000 schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
