Award criteria and amounts
- Full-tuition scholarships
- Eligibility: Available for students with an ACT score of 27 or higher, or an SAT score of 1260 or higher and a grade point average of at least 3.75.
- Recipients must maintain a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 each semester for renewal.
- Half-tuition scholarships
- Eligibility: Available for students with an ACT score of 25 or higher, or an SAT score of 1200 or higher with at least a 3.5 GPA.
- Recipients must maintain a cumulative college GPA of 3.25 or higher each semester for renewal.
Awarding
- The award is tentatively based on a your sixth- or seventh-semester high school transcripts, and the final award will be contingent on meeting all requirements with your final high school transcript.
- The full scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of 20 students on a first-come, first-served basis and will pay up to 64 credits over four semesters at Sandburg as long as you maintain the required cumulative GPA.
- Applications are accepted the year you graduate from high school and limited to accredited high schools within the Sandburg district.
- The award will pay toward tuition (full or half). The family is responsible to pay fees.
- The award will pay up to 64 credits over four semesters.
HOW TO APPLY
- Apply for admission to Sandburg.
- Complete the Sandburg Foundation Scholarship Application at mySandburg > Student Apps/Scholarship Application. Priority Application dates are October 1 to March 22, and the final deadline to apply is June 15.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov.
- Submit your sixth- or seventh-semester high school transcript with ACT or SAT scores.
- Students selected for the scholarship will receive a letter from the college. A final high school transcript is required for funds to be applied to your account.

PAYING TUITION
- An estimated payment will show on the student's bill following registration. Presidential scholarships are applied to the student's account approximately two weeks prior to the tuition deadline.
SUMMER
A student may use the award for summer but this will count as one of the student's four semesters of eligibility.
